🚂Getting Around

Choo choo!

Transportation

Project Freedom has various methods of traversal across our large map. For a player to simply walk from point A to point B, it can take minutes, or even hours of your time. This is a guide meant to help solve that issue.

🗺️ Teleportation

On Project Freedom, players are able to send teleportation requests to other players by using the command /tpa <playername>.

Additionally, players can request that others teleport to them, using /tpahere <playername>.

These commands will directly teleport you to another online player from infinite distances. However, they have a cooldown, and will only work when both are online.

Each player can have 1 /sethome. Supporters can have up to 3. You can use your homes to set up in a place far away from your town, if need be.

You can additionally /t spawn to other towns, if you are in the union's territory.

🚂 Railroads

Railways are the most effective, yet most expensive method of transportation on Project Freedom.

Creating Railroads

You can create a railway the same way as you would normally in Minecraft.

However, powered rails can be optionally crafted using a cheaper recipe using 6 copper ingots. This is to make railroads slightly cheaper and not create an economy sink.

Utilizing Railroads

By default, minecarts will traverse the terrain very slowly - as slow as they are in vanilla Minecraft. However, Project Freedom utilizes the TrainCarts plugin to allow for some very fast trains.

By placing a minecart down on a rail, you automatically create a "train." From here, you can connect other minecarts to it by placing them beside it.

Additionally, you can set the maximum speed of a minecart train using /train maxspeed <int>. This means that whenever your train is either powered by a furnace minecart or by powered rails, it will go this speed.

🚗 Cars and Vehicles

On Project Freedom, you can also obtain several different vehicles. This is accomplished by using Quality Armory Vehicles and its resource pack.

Buying Vehicles

To obtain a vehicle, you can do /qav shop to open the GUI.

Each vehicle will cost anywhere from $800 to $1,200, with a few exceptions. Most vehicles will generally have the same speed and storage space.

More expensive vehicles generally will have better aspects that will attribute to their real-life properties, for instance, the Lamborghini will have much faster speeds compared to other vehicles.

Using Vehicles

Once you have purchased a vehicle, spawn it in using /qav garage and clicking on the vehicle you would like to use.

When you leave your vehicle, it should immediately go back to your garage. If it does not, you can do /qav callback. This will return all vehicles you own in a 6 block radius to your garage.

Players may create highways that serve as a link between towns across shorter distances. These highways are intended to be used for vehicles. Highways and other infrastructure are not allowed to be griefed.

The Importance

When setting up shop, or creating a town, it is important to remember how accessible your town/shops may be to other players.

If for instance, you create a store in a town in Oregon, where the United States has not annexed that territory, it is very likely you will not receive much business outside your local population.

Furthermore, players will likely not want to join a town where they cannot easily access other towns and their stores. Either make sure your town is connected by a railway, in union borders, or is connected by some form of highway.
